Macland Baptist Church 3732 Macland Road Powder Springs, GA 30127

D-groups are small, age-focused gatherings on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour between Sunday morning services.  D-groups meet from 9:15-10:15. D-groups are a great way to grow deeper in your walk with Christ through fellowship and weekly study. Students dive into the Word and focus on seeking after God’s will for their lives. Through D-Groups it’s our vision that believers will discover their place of service, have an outlet for fellowship, participate in an atmosphere of Christian community, develop deep meaningful relationships with other believers, and have an opportunity to be ministered to as we become accountable to one another.

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” -1 Corinthians 12:27 “

…and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” -Hebrews 10:24-25

We are excited to open up a new area of ministry to students (Grades 9-12) called Student Leadership. Students are encouraged to join leadership, but must come to an understanding that the position comes with responsibilities and should not be taken lightly.

The new term for Student leadership begins on January 11th and continue for a period of eight weeks until May 1st.  Because a major part of our leadership philosophy is centered on learning the importance of and practicing incarnational mission, our required weekly meetings will typically be held at a predetermined location out in the community such as Starbucks, the Daily Grind, or Panera Bread.  On occasion we will also meet at church in the youth house. During the meetings, students will take part in fellowship with one another and study God’s Word.

**Please note:   Participation in student leadership requires a serious commitment. Beginning in our new term students will be required to sign an agreement acknowledging their commitment.  Additionally, this form will have to be signed by the student’s parent committing them to the weekly meetings during the term.  Please prayerfully consider if the Lord is leading you to commit to a leadership small group. Participant forms can be found in the Events section.

24/7 Ministries is a branch off our AWANA Ministry. 24/7 Ministries focuses on middle and high school students, putting emphasis on scripture memorization and book studies. Students are split into two programs, Trek and Journey, based on their grade levels. 24/7 Ministries meet every Sunday night at 5:300PM. Trek challenges middle-school students to consider their destiny in Christ and pursue it through life application of God’s Word. Journey drives home the importance of scripture memorization and daily Bible reading. Throughout the four years of Journey, students will read the Bible in its entirety and discover their purpose for their lives as they enter into post-high school life. Journey is a great place for students to discover their passion for ministry and put to use their spiritual gifts.
